We have a friend whose next door neighbor who told him

But he said he’s making a great living and all he does
is deal in antique and old fishing paraphernalia my friend was just
astounded! And I think he doesn’t want to go the general
publications - he wants to be very specific when he promotes his
site!
This is the power of a “niche.” Many people that are
looking for a product or service to sell on the web or on the
Internet, are not thinking small enough. Sometimes the secret to
making a lot of money is to actually think as small as you possibly
can. The fishing lure man is in a very specialized niche area.
You wouldn’t think a person could make money in that
area . . . until just now . . . It just goes to show you.
And there are specific publications that he could get
free write-ups in, where a percentage of their readers would be
interested in that type of thing. Too many times when people think
about getting rich with different products and services, they think
in terms of “mass markets” instead of thinking in
“niches.”
Part of the importance is trying to match your
particular product or service with a very specific market for it. In
today’s world, specialization seems to be the byword. It used to be
you just looked for the lowest common denominator and tried to
please everyone and do mass marketing of a generalized product. The
big, big companies are hard to compete with (Wal-Mart and
Microsoft).
Who’s going to compete with the guy who’s working
out of his house selling very specialized things like these antique
fishing lures? If you have a little niche, you can learn that whole
niche, you can become known as “the guy or the woman who’s a
specialist in that area”.
You really get to know the magazines, the mailing
lists, you get a website that’s very special. You have a niche. And
yes, niche marketing is a big thing these days. Instead of mass
producing, mass marketing some generalized item, you can sell
something that’s very, very specialized. It’s thinking small - it’s
so small, it’s just a little slice of the whole market - but it’s
enough to support you in style for the rest of your life! It’s a
great concept to do “niche marketing!”
You don’t compete with the big guys because they’re
not going to be proficient in the little niche market. Focus on the
niche markets . . . use this simple technique to turn a tiny niche
market into huge amounts of cash!
Many marketers think they know what their customers
want when, in fact, they don’t know. They aren’t asking their
customers, and they’re not in touch with their customers. When this
happens, these marketers end up with a weak, ineffective sales
message.
Keep in touch with your customers. Know them and know
what they want. Then, use that information to create strong,
effective sales messages. Not doing this is the greatest reason why
some marketers fail. But doing this is how to make sure it never
happens to you
The new, hot secret we now have to share with you is
how to bring in sales with sequential mailings. Now, we’re
discussing e-mail marketing, but this tactic isn’t limited to the
electronic media. In fact, it works exactly the same in direct
response marketing with regular mail except for a vast difference in
cost.
You will deal with two different and distinct types of
people in your business. There are those who ask for further
information, and there are clients.
If we buy an opt-in list, we’re going to lump those
names in as prospects because they haven’t bought from us yet. Our
efforts with prospects are directed toward converting them into
buyers. Our effort with clients are, initially, to keep the sale,
which we call “stick letter” activity. We want to build a
relationship that can last for years, because we want to be here for
years to sell more product.
How do you do that? You have to communicate with them
again, and again, and again. There have been a lot of studies done
on sales, from actual direct sales all the way to direct mail. The
statistics pretty evenly say that most customers make the “yes”
decision - the buying decision - after the fifth contact. That means
if we send out one e-mail we’re leaving business on the table.
We don’t want to ignore the vast difference with
e-mail because it is free, But whether we’re talking about real mail
or e-mail, we still have to send out a second letter to that
prospect, then a third letter, a fourth letter, and a fifth letter.
With e-mail, we can do it for free.
How do you do that with
the old system? You have to make some kind of schedule, and it can
get burdensome. Most of the marketers we know, including ourselves
in the past, had problems with adequate e-mail
follow-up.
Today there is a software program called “Suite
Internet” available. The URL you’ll find it at is
www.SuiteInternet.com/Sales/281. This program gives you the
opportunity to create a sequence of mailings.
With this, you
can send out your e-mails, and you can schedule when they’ll go out.
You can send out a letter that says, “Thank you for your inquiry.
Here’s the information you requested.” Then you go into your pitch
full of proven direct mail principles. You set your own mailing time
frame, and you let the software send it out without any intervention
on your part.
You could be on the golf course, or you could be in
Maui. The software will send out your second e-mailing, which could
be the same day, two days later, or two weeks later. (Although I
would not encourage e-mailing two weeks later.) The e-mail could
say, “You
requested further information. We didn’t know if you
got the first mailing, so here you go.” Right? Then you have an
e-mail that could go a third time, a fourth time, a fifth time, a
sixth time, etc., working to convert that prospect to a
buyer.
The great thing about this is it’s absolutely free.
There is, of course, the cost of the software which I think is about
$149.00, but you can’t send out a handful of letters for
$149.00.
Here’s another issue. If you’re like our company,
you need to be able to respond differently to whatever the customer
makes their first inquiry about. If they make a first inquiry about
a product you are selling regarding e-mail marketing, you might want
to create a different sequence for that prospect then you would for
someone who inquires about a co-op advertising program.
This software program gives you the opportunity to
create different message sets. They can be totally customized as far
as content, sequence, and the number that you mail out. Then, you’ve
got the opportunity to send them reply e-mails when they buy your
product. Usually the first one is a welcoming letter, and of course
today many of the products can be - and are - delivered over e-mail,
also.
You can e-mail files. We do that quite often. Or you
could let your customers download from your site, which is another
popular tactic. Even if you’re sending the product out by
conventional methods, such as UPS or the postal system, you can
still follow-up with a welcome letter.
We’ve got different
terms for that. In the direct response industry we also call that a
“stick letter,” and in our actual business we send out a welcome
letter which is also a stick letter. We send out a stick letter a
few days after the order. A stick letter basically reassures the
customers that they made a good decision buying from you.
By
doing this, you are building the relationship. The first time the
customers ever spend money with you, it doesn’t matter if it is
something as trifling as $19.00 or whether it is $1,900.00. You’re
on trial! They don’t feel very comfortable. When they start hearing
from you, they’re going to feel more comfortable. They get their
package and they like it. Then you move on in a natural sequence,
and it is done automatically from your data base where you can send
them out further additional offers, and further additional reports
that will help them and benefit them.
This new software is very exciting to us because it
overcomes all the limitations that we’ve had which, basically, all
run deal with the same trouble - how do you sequence? Then there are
several auto-responder programs that will send out a sequence, but
they always have to be initiated by the customer. They cost money
and they only work with one product.
Thanks to this new
technology, now we can import our database. We can send out a
sequence to people of our own choosing. Our own choosing would be
opt-in. It wouldn’t be spam. It is personalized. It works with your
database.
This is a secret that is so new and has such great
potential, that we encourage everybody to take advantage of it - it
will put your light years ahead of your competitors.
Creativity is something that a lot of people don’t
think they have. Everyone can get it, though. Ask yourself these
questions over and over again:
1. How can I really dramatize this?
2. What can I say that will really get people
interested?
3. How can I make it better?

We have a friend who used to own an ad agency. He
formed one at first just to get discounts on magazine ads. You see,
if you have your own ad agency you get a discount when you buy an ad
at a magazine. So he said, “You betcha, I’ll do that!” The next

So when he

There’s an advertising bureau that’s similar of like
the direct marketing association - it’s called The Internet
Advertising Bureau. And they estimated that $2 billion of ad

talk about all the products that are being sold - but advertising is

These folks that they wrote about said they used to
worry about what to sell, and then after a while their experiments
and their test results showed that it didn’t really matter.
There are millions and millions of people looking at
the listings, and there is always someone who says, “Oh, I want to
buy that.” Even some stuff they couldn’t give away, they put it out
on a table in front of their house in their yard, and said, “free -
take one” and nobody did.
But when they put it on-line, people started buying
it. They bid the price up above retail, when he had tried to sell it
before he decided to give it away!
We were at an auction once - a stereo auction - and
they had these power cords. They were no different than any orange
extension cord you have ever seen in your whole life, and they were
the normal price of every orange extension cord you have ever seen
in your whole life, and a guy held one up and he said, “I have a

How You Can Turn Around And Offer A
Hot-Selling Product To A Whole New Group Of People WITHOUT WRITING

The idea that I want to present in this article deals
with using information again, and again, and again, over and
over.
One of the things I want to bring up is the fact that
you can take a product you have and change the niche, meaning you
can change the product in such a way that you can sell it to an
entirely new group of people.
This way you’re not writing much of anything to change
your product. Now you’re selling it to an entirely new group of

exactly how this would work. For example, let’s say you’ve written a
book about discount travel - “How to save money on vacations.” Let’s
say that you’re selling this book to seniors. There’s a large senior
market out there.

You’ve written this book and it’s called “The Senior’s
Guide To Discount Travel,” and you’re selling tons of them. Your
sales are slacking off a bit, though.
You can actually change
something that’s not information specific, such as the introduction,
and you keep most of the information. 95% of the information in
there stays the same because it’s all about getting discount
travel.
Now you can retitle it and call it “The
Businessperson’s Guide To Discount Travel” and sell it in business
magazines. You might be able to change the introduction again and
call it “The Adventurer’s Guide To Discount Travel” and advertise it
in, for example, cycling magazines or sky diving
magazines.
You take the same 95% of the information, change
the introduction, change a few words around, and sell it to a
different niche market instead of the same niche you’re selling it
in.
One example - a real life example - is of a marketing
company doing a great job of this and making it very simple. They
had quite a bit of information on mail-order marketing, then the
Internet popped up and became big, and many people wanted to how to
do Internet marketing.

They took all of their mail-order marketing
information, deleted out all the references to mail-order, and
popped the word Internet in its place. Immediately they had an
Internet marketing course that sold incredibly well. It was a very
good course on Internet marketing, because marketing for the
Internet and mail-order are very similar.
They did a great
job. Instead of having to write an entirely brand-new course on
Internet marketing, they were able to make very simple changes and
immediately have a brand-new course they could sell to people
interested in Internet marketing.
There’s also a company out
there that created books on How to Get Freebies. They did the
exactly same thing. Instead of just creating a book on freebies,
they had 95% of the information on how to get free things, then they
title each book differently so they could sell it to a different
niche.
They have the senior’s guide to freebies, the
teacher’s guide to freebies, the kid’s guide to freebies, the
parent’s guide to freebies, etc., and they would sell it to
different niche markets - but with basically the same
information!
By taking a basic block of information and
simply changing the introduction and a few specific things inside
the package, you can actually sell it to different niche markets and
make a lot of money - with basically the same product! I really
wanted to hammer that home, because it’s such a great idea! It’s a
powerful idea that saves you time and energy, but can bring in a lot
of extra profit.

Eight Steps To Building A Pile Of
Wealth On The Internet!
Today I would like to cover the eight steps to
building a pile of wealth on the Internet. Get ready, because we’ve
got a lot of good information here!
The basic perspective that guides this the idea that
we’re going for an ongoing relationship with the customer, not a one
night stand so to speak. The same is true no matter whether you’re
on or off the Internet. We are going for an ongoing relationship

Think about it. Lead generation costs you no matter
what technique you’re using. Even if they’re on the web and they are
low-cost or no-cost, you’ve still out your time and creative
imagination. That costs.
To re-sell people who obviously have an interest in
your topic (after all, they bought from you once) and who have a
knowledge of you is your goal now.

Issues with your credibility and trust should be gone
now that they’ve ordered from you before. Also, Here’s something
that you may not have thought about. You actually have a
responsibility to your customers. Don’t cheat your customers
because, I guarantee you, whatever it is, whether it is supplements,
bicycle products, information on getting rich on the Internet, or
whatever, your customers want more and they will spend more. If you
don’t make it easy for them to do that with you, they’re going to go
to somebody else and they might get an inferior
product.
Think about your own experiences! Have you ever

It came into the office at 1:39 p.m. We shipped the
order out overnight.
She requested and paid for it, so we
made $782.00 that day. But, of course, in her package we included
some ride-along materials, namely extra-free special reports that
didn’t cost us a penny.
She got the package, and she was
overwhelmed with the WOW factor of the out-of-box experience. She
read one of the reports, and the next day in our office at 4:52 p.m.
we received another FAX - she had ordered $152.00 more.
We
sent her latest order right out. Day number three, she faxes in an
order of $1,437.00 for an Internet Distributor package. This was
also ride-along material packed with one of the products she had
already ordered. It did not cost us a penny to send! It was a 15
page report so we did have to pay for the printing, but it went out
free in her original package.
What can I say? Look at this! We started with a
$782.00 order. Most people would have let it drop there! But, in
three days with this one customer, we pulled in a total of $2,371.00

Incidentally, when I was preparing to write this
article today, I wondered what that customer had done with us
lately. I went into the computer and pulled up her account. That
Distributor Package she bought gives her the right to re-sell
packages. She had four packages that she had sold that day for a
total of $1,628.00. Now, that wasn’t all my money and that wasn’t
all her money.
Here’s the point: this is repetitive because
she is doing it again and again. So, that’s what we want to start
thinking about, not a one-night stand but an ongoing
relationship!
With that in mind, here are the eight steps to
building a pile of wealth on the Internet.
1. Offer real,
genuine value, and an inexpensive price.
A lot of times it is
“Free” in the form of free special report or a free software
download, and we give them genuine knowledge and value.
People respond all the time! They are telling us,
“Gee, I never knew that!” “Gee, I know more now after reading your
15 page report, than I knew after I bought some competitors $97.00
report.” Who are they going to come to next? So, you should offer
real value at an inexpensive price.

2. Offer up-grade options with your original purchase
option.
You’ve seen it. You get a magazine subscription and
the whole magazine sales letter has been pounding on you to get a
subscription. So you go to the order blank and here there it is,
“One Year - $29.00. For an even better value Two Years.” And, of
course, you’ve got a discount, right?
Then they’ve got the
best value and it is for three years and you save a lot of money!
We’ve got one with the book “Mail and Grow Rich.” We send out the
piece that sells that. And just on the order form it says, “For the
best experience, there’s also Mail and Grow Rich on cassette,” and
it is an extra $23.00.
Offer an up-grade option and you will
increase your sales. Another thing you’ve probably seen or you will
if you start paying attention is Basic and Deluxe options on a
course. That’s the same thing!
3. Pop bounce-back offers into every package that you
send out.
Those are the inserts I referred to earlier as
“ride-along materials.” In other words, some-body has bought a
program from you so make sure that you send something offering them
something else because they will be happy when they receive your
materials. They are interested in the subject, so send them
some-thing related and let them buy back from you again.

4. Send a stick letter.
This deals with that
moment where you’ve got to fight post-purchase dissidence. That just
means that after you’ve bought something, sometimes you say, “Uh oh,
did I do the right thing?”
You want to develop the
relationship. Many times something that you can send will help with
this - another free special report (of course, you will make an
offer), or a real affordable book. We’ve got books that we send out
that cost us anywhere from $1.20 up to $5.00. It’s something that
will make a genuine, feel good relationship. That is called a “stick
letter.”
5. Send out a sequence of back-end mailings.
We talk about mail. Obviously we’re using the terms on
the Internet. There’s e-mail and, of course, there’s no cost for
that. If you’re sending out actual physical mail, that’s also
excellent. These back-end mailings are offering additional
products.
You re-sell what you sold, you re-sell your value
you offer them up-grades, you offer them new products, and you
cross-sell with other products.

6. Back-end your back-end.
In other words, if
they buy one thing and they buy another, they will still buy another
so don’t stop after one thing!
7. Never stop marketing to a
customer until it becomes unprofitable.
A customer’s clients
are not prospects. They are people who bought something from you.
They are interested. They have demonstrated it with their cash, so
until it becomes unprofitable, never stop!
And, of course, as
far as e-mail e-zines are concerned, about the only time it becomes
unprofitable is when they say, “Take me off your list,” because
there is no cost, and that’s what we all love about Internet
marketing.
8. Never stop setting up joint ventures as host
and beneficiary.
Never stop creating new products because you want to
expand your offerings. I talk a lot about joint ventures because you
don’t have to create that product, you don’t have to commission it,
you can go to someone who’s got a product that is related to yours
that would benefit your customers and say, “Hey, let’s make a deal
and we’ll split the profits.” That subject could be a whole other
tape series! But right now, it is just never stop getting new
products!

First, you can get more customers to do business with
you the first time. So right now, if you’re bringing in 1,000
customers a month, and you bring in 2,000 customers a month by
changing your marketing system, you’ve doubled your

Second, you can sell to those customers more often.
So right now, if the average customer buys from you twice a year,
and you get that customer to buy from you four times a year, you’ve
doubled your business. It’s just as simple and easy as
that.
Third, you can sell those people higher priced items
with bigger profit margins attached to those products and services.
For instance, right now if the average sale you are making to your
customers is $100, when you average out the number of customers you
have and then you take your gross sales for that year, if you just
increased that to $200 for the average sale, you’ve doubled your
business.
And it’s really that simple. There are lots of
different marketing strategies that can be used to bring about those
three things, but once you realize how simple it is and that there

You
can use it to attract new customers to your site, you can make them
special offers and put sales materials there that is geared toward
people who have never done business with you, you can use it to sell
to people more often and just stay in touch with them.
Send
them this simple post card that just compels them to go to your web

Don’t Limit Yourself To One Product,
Unless You Want To Limit Your Profit Potential Dramatically!
You will be denying yourself the possibility of
additional low-cost inquiries, and back-end sales, if you limit
yourself to one sellable item. Just by coming up with more products
you can easily make three to seven times more money! You have to
have multiple products, because no one product is going to carry you
for long.
Profits in this business come from the back-end sales.
Back-end sales are all of the products and services that are related
to the first products or services that you sold the customer

offers, they automatically assume an initial loss.
Many marketers — and you should learn this, too — know

When you give away something for free, you do lose
