It’s easier to recycle old material then to create something new from scratch. You can create many different informational products by using bits and pieces of your old informational products. You can write or record something one time and get paid for it dozens and dozens of times. Think about it. The world’s richest people do something one time and then they get paid for it over and over. People like famous authors write a book and get paid for many years for that book. You can get paid many times for each page that you write or each audio tape that you produce. The customers don’t care. Whenever we start talking to people about recycling old informational products they always say, “you’re ripping your customers off, because you’re charging them twice for something you did once.”

Many customers don’t buy every single product that you produce, first of all, and second, if you’re just taking a few pages out of one book and putting it in another, they are not going to notice. What they will notice, though, it VALUE.

They’re just going to notice that you put a lot of value into it. They’re not going to notice that you took pages 90 through 100 out of one book and put it in another. Any that would complain, of course, could be settled with in some way. Excerpts from one audio tape can be used in other audio tapes. The printed transcript from one audio tape could be used in any manual that you do. Small reports that you have could be added together to create new material. Single audio tapes that you do can easily be grouped together by simply having an editor take out excerpts and maybe you have to do some re-recording in between those sound bits.

There are a couple of other advantages to an affiliate program. A great analogy is shelf space. In a store the more shelf space you get, the better your sales. Like in the grocery industry they pay a premium to get more shelf space. More visibility. Sometimes they come up with more versions of the same product to get more space on that shelf.

When you have an affiliate program, you are essentially getting more shelf space. Your product is being seen more places than you could ever advertise by yourself. You get more visibility.

Another advantage of that is you get more brand identity.
